Term: wave gauge calibration
Definition: The process of calibrating wave gauges (sensors that are used to measure the height of a wave or subsurface pressure which is related to wave-height) when changing tank water level in a wave research tank. In addition, some wave gauges are self-calibrating and can be calibrated without changing the water level, typically at the beginning and end of each day.
