Term: Drift divide
Definition: A boundary between ice massifs or zones drifting in different directions or with a different speed. Drift divide indications include increased fracturing of the ice cover, flaws, ridging belts, leads and diverging zones. One frequently observes ice floe rotation at the drift divide.  Bushuyev
