The angle between the projection into the i-jplane of a position or measured vector and the i-axis of the coordinatesystem. Mathematically defined as arctan(j/i). This term could be alsoapplied to angles measured in different planes, for example the IMF clockangle defined as arctan(|By|/Bz). |
