Term: Ice cliff
Definition: A vertical face of ice, normally formed where a glacier terminates in the sea, or is undercut by streams. These terms are also used more specifically for the face that forms at the seaward margin of an ice sheet or ice cap, and that rests on bedrock at or below sea level.  Swisseduc
