Definition:

A nonspherical coordinate system based on a magnetic dipole axis that is offset from the Earth’s center by about 502 km toward a location in the Pacific Ocean (20.4° N 147.3° E). This ”eccentric dipole” axis intersects the surface at 82° N  90° W, and 75° S  119° E.
